Ampico Roll "Viennese (Wienerisch)" by Godowsky
By Harald M. Mueller

[ Ref. 190809 Unusual Ampico Roll "Weinerrisch" by Godowsky

Just two minor corrections: The piece is called "Wienerisch"
-- "Wien" is the actual name of "Vienna" and "-erisch" is "-ese"
in German. "Weinerisch" would be "Crying" ("weinen" = "to cry").

And the piece was composed by Leopold Godowsky -- see e.g.

The Ampico roll was played by F. Dixon.

[ The piece was published in 1916 as "Viennese (Wienerisch)
[ in F major", from the folio "12 Impressions", No. 12. Ref.
