MIDI Control for Wurlitzer Band Organ
By Les Higger

Hi all. Some years back I built a somewhat custom Wurlitzer 104. It
had the standard roll case and valve chest and vacuum system. I have
built four band organs over the years and this one was in need of some
restoration. I thought I would convert it to play MIDI files. I found
j-Omega Electronics in UK which sells a MIDI decoder. I built a new
windchest that uses the electromagnet values and it all works. See
http://www.j-omega.co.uk/

I started building band organs in 1971. I was lucky to learn from Ray
Thomas, son-in-law to Herbert Vincent. It's been a great hobby and
I have met wonderful people over the years. If you're interested,
Peter at j-Omega is very helpful and sells a great product.

P.S.: I have a roll case and several rolls that I would like to sell.
