I have obtained a copy of Harvey Roehl's "Vestal Press Catalog
No. 23" for 1986-1987.  Harvey and Marion Roehl were old friends
of mine and I was familiar with Harvey's talent and work but, until
I scanned through the 54 pages of Catalog No. 23, I had no idea of
the true breadth and depth of Harvey's Vestal Press publishing,
which ran from 1961 to 1988.  For the complete story see

The cover of Catalog No. 23 has a charming caricature of Harvey
sitting at the keyboard of his Tangley calliope with Marion leaning
on the calliope case.  I'd love to keep the issue for that cover
alone, but I think it is better to have the catalog preserved for
future reference in some accessible mechanical music archive.
