Common Cylinder Box Tunes
By Eric Stott

[ Ref. Daniel Davis in 200113 MMDigest ]

Daniel, You do not indicate how old your box is. On a 19th century
box I would say "Silent Night" would be rare. On a box from the 1930s
or later, not so rare, and the later the box the greater the chance.

In my opinion the most commonly found tune is "Home, Sweet Home".
The majority of my boxes have it, from the 1860s to the 1960s, and
all of them use the same arrangement with an upward run just before
the end, followed by chords.
