About 50 years ago, when I was running a player restoration business, Ted Perrin and I created three major works for the Duo-Art. We made Mussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" (complete), Shubert's "Wanderer Fantasy" (2 rolls) and Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto" (4 rolls). The first two works (Pictures and Wanderer) were copied for us by Play-Rite and published on the M & M music label. We sold 20 copies of each. I still have them both for my Weber Duo-Art. I also have Beethoven's "Emperor Concerto". We never had it recut at the time, but it turned up in recent years and I got 3 copies. One sold on eBay and Thomas Ahearn bought the other. I have tried to find out if there was any interest in having them cut, but so far no interest. There are references to the "Wanderer Fantasy" in the MMD archives. The only outfit I know of who might be interested in copying more of these rolls is Meliora in Atlanta. Anyone interested should contact me.
