Harvey was front row center in the popularization of mechanical
music, starting with his 1958 scrapbook and then his magisterial
1960 "Player Piano Treasury" and associated Vestal Press activities.

He was widely mourned by his friends, but this was in an era before
Internet popularity.  I would imagine that a call for tributes would
bring a lot of responses.

There are other notable names from that era -- Art Sanders, Larry
Givens, and more.
