A free program, "Anvil Studio," has a record-MIDI function.  The audio
version has a one-minute limit on recording without upgrading.  I'm
not sure about the MIDI.  The upgrade is $20.  Here is the URL for the

GNMIDI, free download and limited trial.  The program has a record
feature.  The full program is less than $40 US and has many useful MIDI
routines, some of which can be run in batch mode which will modify all
the files in a directory when necessary, such as changing format from
