Well, he's a good craftsman, but that's really sad.  The genre, in
general, is called "steampunk," which is one unfortunate way that
determinedly non-technical people try to deal with real things.  They
like magic and fantasy because it is easier to think about, and it
consumes lots of old watch and clock parts.
