The Musical Box Society of Great Britain is pleased to draw the
attention of MMDers to an exciting and unusual project it is
supporting (along with others) which is being undertaken by
Dr. Emily Baines.

The title of this recording, The Ghost in the Machine, is also
the title of Dr Baines' thesis for which she was awarded her
doctorate, based on research carried out on some early mechanical
