Piano Roll to MIDI File Transcribing Machine
By Walter Dahler

Piotr Barcz asked for an idea to scan music rolls [200807 MMD].
To play my Hupfeld Violina with MIDI files I made a 'push-up player'
with solenoids. But I could not find suitable music files, so I made
also a 'scanner' with an original spoolbox and some pneumatics.

I was successful. I read the small bellows [motion] with light barriers
[photo interrupters]. An interface then produced the MIDI files. As
you like: without errors from bridges, and so on. The picture looks
like 'piano roll' view.
