With reference to the announcement on MMD 201207 regarding the passing
of Arthur Cunliffe, Mrs. Cunliffe has asked me to post that she has
greatly appreciated the cards and letters she has already received but
to confirm that she does not wish to have telephone calls.

Also to reassure MMDers that Arthur's great legacy to the field of
mechanical music, the A D Cunliffe Cylinder Box Register, which
currently contains approximately 13,500 entries and which he passed
to the MBSGB some time ago, will continue to be maintained by Arthur's
successor as Registrar, David Worrall. It is expected that a tribute
to Arthur will appear in a future edition of the MBSGB's journal,
The Music Box. Meanwhile, the family's wishes for privacy are being
respected.
