Looking at the Sherlock Holmes film, I can confirm that the instrument
is definitely a Wurlitzer IX with the art glass removed and replaced
with sugar glass to allow it to be 'smashed in'. This was neat to see
as I had the same style IX.

There was another film showing this same style Wurlitzer IX _with_ the
correct art glass shown from the early 1930s. It probably was the same
piano; I wish I could think of the title.
