To All a Happy & Healthy New Year! The Morris Museum received a most 
gracious donation recently from fellow collector and close friend of 
Murtogh Guinness, Ruth Reigninghaus-Smith. She and her late husband 
Al Smith had received by bequest from Murtogh upon his passing, the 
collections' Aeolian Technola Player Piano, which had been lovingly 
and thoroughly restored for him by Alan Lightcap.

The instrument is now happily rejoining the Guinness collection and
will be a featured instrument in the soon to be installed exhibit,
"Those Beautiful Rags", at the museum, scheduled to run January 30th
- October 10th, 2021. Photos will follow shortly after the exhibit
opens.

Accompanying the instrument itself were just over 100 early 65-note
pin-end music rolls, but as our main mission is the preservation of
original artifacts, our overriding preference is to always utilize
recut music rolls whenever demonstrating instruments from the
collection for museum goers.

So the question is: Are there any 65-note (6-per-inch) pin-end,
original arrangement recuts available out there? There is some great
music on these early music rolls and the Technola is just pining to
play them for our visitors!
