Fair Organ Sound Synthesizer for MIDI File Test
By David Dilks

[ Ref. Dale F. Rowe in 210120 MMDigest ]

Hello there Dale, Thanks for your reply to my MMD post. I have never
looked into Cakewalk, but have heard varying reviews of the program.
I understood it was great for editing MIDI files but that it had some
issues with some of the later operating systems. I didn't realize it
could simulate a specific organ. I'll take a look to see what I can
set up.

I remember Midiboek appearing some time ago; I bookmarked the page a
few years ago and I'm glad to see it is still active. Midiboek10 seems
quite close to what I am looking for. I have emailed the authors via
the link on the site.

I have received several great replies to my original MMD post. It
appears building a synthesizer to simulate my organ will not be a
trivial task.

Having just finished the organ, I find now myself more comfortable
behind the sawbench than in front of the computer monitor. I can see
another wonderful learning opportunity coming up; a good project for
next winter.

Regards
David Dilks
