AMICA Bulletin March-April 2021 Edition Released
By Glenn Thomas

The AMICA Bulletin's March-April 2021 issue has been released and
most AMICA members should have received their printed copy via Postal
mail about now. Digital subscribers received their emailed digital
copy previously.

Among this edition's features are a story about rare or seldom seen
brands of coin-piano rolls where the companies were little known or
quickly got gobbled up by their larger and more prosperous competitors.
Author Matt Jaro provides rare images, ads, labels, and details about
these companies and their music. (Watch for a similar feature about
88-note piano roll companies in a future issue.)

Rick Crandall explains how he worked with arranger Art Reblitz and
roll-cutter Tim Baxter to create a special type "O" and "A" roll of
American "Roots" music. Rick provides many images of sheet music and
record labels that make up the many rags and blues on this unique roll,
and how to get a copy.

In keeping with the theme about more unusual types of coin-piano rolls,
Glenn Thomas and Mikey Mills offer separate stories about the rise and
fall of Wurlitzer Automatic Player Piano (APP) rolls, and how they were
arranged, produced, and marketed.

Of course, there are many other articles, features, and references
included within its 60 pages.

If you are not an AMICA member, join now at www.amica.org to receive
this edition, all the others for the year, and AMICA's other activities.
