14-note Reed Block for Organette
By Karl Schroder

[ Ref. David Adams in 210325 MMDigest ]

You can make that reed block pretty easily with old reeds from an old
reed organ and a little bit of basic wood working skills. All you need
to know is your organettes scale.

Before beginning I would, however, suggest purchasing "Restoring
and Collecting Antique Reed Organs," by Horton Presley [1977, 1996].
Everything in this book applies to organettes as well.

You will have a great deal of fun collecting organettes and once you
have under your belt such odd skills as making reed blocks from scratch,
a whole wide world of possibilities with these much abused and often
dismissed delightful machines becomes possible!

Grüß,
Karl SchrÃder
