Hi Folks, I previously wrote and asked about a Stafford
orchestrion that I have been tasked with working on [210822
MMD]. I have now been out to the piano and spent an hour with it.

The main problem is with an electric clutch on the take up spool.
It won't engage during Play mode.

The other issue, and I think it can be related, is that the stack
will not cut out when rewind is activated manually.

1. Is the clutch normally engaged or disengaged when there is no
current applied to it?

2. Are the clutches available for sale somewhere?

3. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the Stafford orchestrion
[electric clutch version] that I can have a copy of?

4. Any other ideas?
