This MMD [211130 MMDigest] went into my "Promotions" box,
not to its usual position in my "Primary" Inbox folder.

 [ This type of catagorization is exactly the problem.   The MMD does
 [ contain promotions, for sale items, etc.   At least Google still
 [ lets you see it and you can write a filter to make it NOT do that.
 [ Some other carriers just send back "bounce" messages.  That's most
 [ of why the number of subscribers has fallen off.  I have some ideas
 [ on how to improve delivery.  Stay tuned...   --jody
