Piano Rolls with Left-hand Tenths
By Jeff Taylor

Back in 2014, I posted this query on this group, but never got
a response. I am asking for the collective wisdom of those of you
who have spent much of your life listening to player-piano rolls:
What is the earliest popular music roll you have heard that makes
_sustained_ (not just occasional) use of tenths in the left hand
part?

Among other things, I'd be interested if such left-hand tenths predate
the advent of so-called "hand-played" rolls. As far as I can tell,
they do not appear with regularity in popular published music until
the second half of the 'teens. But by the 1920s they are ubiquitous
in rolls, printed music, and recordings.

Thanks!
