Hello MMD, in another message I have announced the publishing of the
latest issue #144 of "Das Mechanische Musikinstrument", the journal
of the "Gesellschaft für Selbstspielende Musikinstrumente" (GSM).

The last time I authored such an announcement was back in 2017. From
then on Uwe Gernert, who was the responsible editor in the following
years, sent announcements of this type to the MMD. His last submission
was in the end of 2021.

Starting in 2022 his health was deteriorating rapidly, with a very sad
end on July 3rd of this year. The GSM bulletin editor Uwe Gernert has
left us for ever!

Bulletin #144 was mainly prepared by musicologist Claudia Nauheim from
Leipzig, who has written several articles for our bulletin before.
Her main topics were employees of Hupfeld, pianists, composers, and
assistant personnel.

After her provisional activity for bulletin #144, Claudia will be in
charge of the editorial board.

We wish her many bulletin issues, full of interesting contributions.
