Where Are These Amazing Player Pianos Now?
By Piotr Barcz

I bet all of you know of the ridiculous player piano feat of
engineering that I call the Steinway "Duo-Mignon". Bob Taylor recorded
this versatile player piano years ago and I have been baffled by it
since I saw that video. Who built the system or otherwise modified it,
but more importantly, what happened to it after the video was made?

* Bob Taylor's video of Steinway Duo-Mignon (I have upscaled
this video, if anyone wants to see it I'll post it):

The second piano I have been pondering about is John Del Carlo's
stunning Mason & Hamlin RBB LX player piano. This has got to be the
absolute best piano in the world, not only because of Ari Issac's
strings and hammers in it but the fact that it has a digital player
system alongside the Ampico A which I consider the best player system,
musically, ever made.

If anyone knows what happened to these fantastic instruments please
do contact me, I'd like to know what the whereabouts of these have
been after the videos of them stopped coming in.
