Recording and Producing a New Pianola Roll
By Troy Taylor

Hello -- My youngest nephew is becoming quite an accomplished pianist.
There is now some interest in the family in perhaps getting a piano
roll made of his playing, but none of us are sure how to do this.
He has a keyboard that can record and export MIDI files, but I believe
that there is more to the process of creating a brand new roll than
just creating a MIDI file of the desired song.

So my questions are if there is anyone out there that is willing and
able to potentially cut a roll(s) of his playing? If so, what would
need to be done to make this work? How many copies would be required,
and what would the approximate cost be?

Please note: Since any rolls that might be produced of his playing
would all remain amongst the family, and not be offered for sale,
I am hoping that any potential copyright concerns can be avoided.
Any advice and recommendations are much appreciated!

Thank you and best regards,

Troy Taylor
