Gluing Pneumatics to the Stack: Options
By David Dewey

Greetings all, I am working on a Standard Pneumatic unit, which seems
very typical except the note pneumatics have a thin piece of leather
between the pneumatic and the stack. It's not as thin as pouch leather;
maybe about double that.

The leather [gasket] makes taking it apart simple, but when I put it
back together I was going to use paper between them (actually drywall
joint paper tape). Is there any reason I should try to find some
really thin gasket leather instead? And did anyone find this before?

All the parts are stamped with the piano makers' name, too: "WEBSTER".
I haven't run across that before in a Standard stack.

Thanks!
