Wurlitzer 165 and 150 Band Organ Tune Identified
By Dan Robinson

In MMD 260401 I wrote that the Wurlitzer 165 band organ tune long
known as "A Perfect Day" (on roll 6507) is actually a medley of
that tune, "I Love You Truly" and "Just Awearyin' For You," all
by Carrie Jacobs-Bond.

Now a followup about the Wurlitzer 150 version: Similarly, the
tune shown as "A Perfect Day" (on roll 13025) is actually a medley
with "I Love You Truly." Here it is played by the Wurlitzer
146-A band organ of the Dr. Floyd L. Moreland Carousel, Seaside
Heights, New Jersey, when the organ was in Joe Hilferty's shop:

Attachment thumbnail I have updated the listing for the roll in the online Wurlitzer 150 roll catalog here: https://wurlitzer-rolls.com/150catalog/150index.html As far as I know, no original label or Roll Bulletin listing the roll survives, so whether the incomplete identification originated with Wurlitzer is anyone's guess.
