Friends: I learned yesterday from Dan Robinson that Dave Haibach
passed away on June 23. His beloved wife, Anne, passed away last
January and Dave's passing doesn't seem to have become common
knowledge to the music community until a few days ago.

Dave was the singular person who answered the call made in about
2014 for someone to compose blocks of accumulated roll data and
narrative information about American organ manufacturers into the
8tti Rollography that is freely available online.

It took a lot of time, analysis and effort to develop the basic
design and to work through the many challenges that analyzing
and enumerating 8tti rolls represents. He did it faithfully and
cheerfully, with enthusiasm.

Both Dave and Anne's health was not the best and he carried on
as best he could. It now becomes "our" challenge to sustain what
he started and to upload the backlog that he was unable to add in
recent times. Just as Gary Watkins received recognition for his work,
I would propose it as fitting that Dave Haibach be given similar,
enduring recognition for his foundational activity with the 8tti
rollography.
