Kangaroo Skin form Shaff Piano Supply
By Spencer Chase

Just a quick note of warning regarding kangaroo skin from Shaff Piano Supply. Today I received one skin each of pouch and valve leather. The samples were wonderful. The skins are terrible. The pouch leather is full of holes. It is only .006 but it is useless except for packing. The valve leather is badly sanded and would yield about 30% from the good areas. I guess this is new stock and the sample was the old good stuff. Too bad they bothered to send it. I'm certainly not keeping it.
