Carousel Organ Association of America Annual Fee
By Matthew Caulfield
The COAA membership voted to raise their annual dues from the
original $5 to $15 in order to sustain the unusually high quality
of the organization's publication "The Carousel Organ." What was
originally envisioned as a rather modest quarterly immediately took
off, under the editorship of Ron Bopp and Angelo Rulli, to become
an amazingly well-written and generously illustrated journal.
When asked to choose between the dues increase and a cheaper journal,
members voted for the dues increase. Fifteen dollars a year is not
a lot to pay for a publication devoted exclusively to band organs.
The next issue will contain a membership list, I am told.
