Welte Orchestrion at Zaharako's Confectionery
By Dean Randall

Hi folks, I heard a segment on NPR today in which two food writers
mentioned a restaurant/soda fountain, Zaharako's, in Columbus,
Indiana, and described it as having "a 185-piece player organ"
playing Sousa marches.

Given the apparent knowledge of mechanical music of these reviewers,
it may well be a Melody Player, (no flames from the Melody Player
owners please, I have two myself) but I am curious nonetheless. Has
anyone any knowledge of this instrument? The location is: Zaharako's,
329 Washington Street, Columbus, IN
