Deagan Tower Chimes Solenoid Voltage
By Robert Ridgeway

The 32-note set of Deagan Tower Chimes in the Sanfilippo Collection
has a voltmeter on the player and it indicates that the correct voltage
range is around 45 to 48 VDC. We are no longer using the motor-generator
but instead use a large 200 ampere rectifier set for 48 volts DC.

90 volts would undoubtedly burn out the coils immediately but probably
not before playing the chimes _very loudly_ one last time.
