Transcribing Piano Rolls to Sheet Music
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Having been involved with David Jameson on a couple of past
projects involving rolls and sheet music, the easiest way to get
a finished product is to start with the regular 'store bought' version
of the song and then edit it so it matches the music on the music roll.
Simply put, adding notes to an already finished sheet is relatively
easy.

The problems one encounters with a scanned roll file are almost too
numerous to detail, but if you insist on working with MIDI to 'create'
the sheet music, start with a simple version and edit in the extra notes.

Musically,

John A Tuttle
