Sealing Leather Pouches
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, It seems we visit this topic every few years, and it also
seems that nothing ever really changes. That's the interesting thing
about facts -- they rarely change! So, I'd like to point you once
again to the excellent article on sealing pouches by Craig Brougher:

  http://www.player-care.com/sealing-pouches.html

By the way, I just purchased some Hydrophane and will be running some
serious tests to find out if an oil-based sealer is something that
should be used in a player piano.

Musically,

[ Hydrophane reportedly works well on 90-year-old leather; please
[ also test it on currently available new pouch leather. -- Robbie
