How To Make a Leaky Duo-Art Play
By Philip Jamison

I have a 97-year-old customer with a Steinway Duo-Art grand which
I think was rebuilt in the 1960s. I got it playing a few years ago
by patching a couple expression bellows. He doesn't want a rebuild
and doesn't care if the piano expresses. The rotary pump does produce
suction and the tubes and hoses are okay. He's now pleading for me to
get it to make some noise. Any suggestions?
