Mechanical Music on TV
By Andy Struble

I vaguely remember an episode of Bonanza. After a cattle drive, the
main character was in a saloon in whatever the city was supposed to be.
The shot began with a close-up of the character, but as the camera
backed away you could see a music box disc revolving. Apparently they
had removed both the front and back of a 27" Regia and shot the scene
through the music box with the disc revolving.

I also recall a Mister Rodgers show from the early 70's where Fred had
gone to a music shop and the owner had a reproducing grand piano. I
don't remember if it was a Duo-Art or Welte, but the roll was above the
keys.
