Big "T" in Wurlitzer ?

[ the American Wurlitzer firm.  Note that the big 'T' is used only in
 [ the logo of the product; it shouldn't be used when referring to the
 [ Wurlitzer company or the family name.  -- Robbie

Why is that?  What is the big 'T' supposed to mean?
