Destructive Adhesives
By Bruce Grimes

I, too, thought it might be a joke, the adhesive tape idea. I'll stick
to traditional materials myself.

Sometime back some of us had a few beers and were joking around and hit
on this idea for getting Duo-Art cross valves to seat that I bet no one
-- even on MMD -- could take seriously: "Pick your Steinway up from the
floor several inches, then drop it!" We even talked about bouncing it
down the stairs.

Amazing how many people took it seriously. I lost the bet. Some of
the suggestions made seriously on MMD about rebuilding are in my
opinion no less destructive.
