My name is Hi Babit and I worked with J. Lawrence Cook for about
ten years making the master roll arrangements for Aeolian company.
He was a whiz at copying anyone's style of playing piano -- his ear
for that was excellent.  He also went by other names, mostly Sid
Laney and some others.  But Dick Watson at QRS also used other names
like George Homes or Holmes.

Dick and I worked for QRS for two or three years and then Ramsi
Tick from Buffalo bought out QRS and moved the factory to Buffalo.
My understanding was that the company wanted to show that there were
a lot of arrangers working for the company.  My rolls only used my
name on the popular rolls.  For the few classical rolls that I made
I used my real name of Herman Babich.  I thought I'd give you this
information so it would be more understanding.  If anyone wants more
