Selecting an ISP
By Pete Woodworth

Regarding locating Internet Service Providers, probably the virtual Grandaddy of online ISP lists is at:

Also, I have found an interactive 'web site which lists Internet Service Providers:

   http://www.vex.net/isp/

Most of the Internet search engines such as Alta Vista can also narrow down a search for local ISP's, as with a simple search for: [SAN DIEGO ISP]. When researching local ISP's, be sure to inquire their user-to-modem ratio. Many folks recommend no more than a 12-user/modem ratio. Even better is a "No Busy Signal" policy, as an ISP in our town provides!

Cheers.
