Crude Oil for Piano Finishes
By John A. Tuttle

Back in the 70's when I worked at a piano store, we often used what looked and smelled like crude oil to hide minor blemishes on new pianos. Yesterday, an older customer spoke of using crude oil on his burled walnut grand player which had an oil finish. My question is: Does anyone know where I can buy a product with the aforementioned properties?

Thank-you,
John A. Tuttle (tuttleja@concentric.net)
