Identifying "Prince of Wales" Music Box
By Bob Fitterman

Marty Roenigk wrote that "with the limited information that has
been supplied, it would be impossible to identify the manufacturer."

I don't have much more to give you (see MMD 970918 for some more
details), but I'll share the rest of my notes:

  21 inches wide
  11 inches deep
  9-1/4 inches high

The case was made of rosewood. If I can get a copy of the photograph
around, perhaps the case work will be a useful clue.

On the inside of the lid, was "a picture of a beautiful girl in a hoop
skirt dancing with the Prince of Wales." I do not know if this was a on
a tune sheet or was applied to the lid in some other manner. (The
quotation is taken from a description by an unidentified person who was
apparently familiar with the box.

By the way, if you think it's a wild goose chase, please let me know.
I figured it's worth a shot of asking in this forum, but I may be a
little naive about all of this.
