Katie,  Mr. Roenigk of Mechantiques forwarded your message about page
turners for piano music to the Mechanical Music Digest, a group of
people who are interested in player pianos and other automatic musical
instruments.

It seems that at least one automatic page turner has been invented.  US
Patent D385,900 was granted on November 4, 1997 for a Combined music
holder, page turner and foot pedal.

Here's how you can do the same search that I did.  Go to the US Patent
and Trademark Office site:

        http://www.uspto.gov/

click on "Search Patents", then on "Boolean Search", and enter the terms
"music" and "page".  You and your classmates should find this site useful
for researching your ideas.

The folks at Mechanical Music Digest may find this site useful, too.
