Appropriate Subjects in MMDigest
By Norman Narmore

I would like to address Larry Greenfield's question about whether or
not discussing his project (the Paillard with 31 cylinders) is an
appropriate subject for the MMD.

After some initial disappointment that he wasn't talking about some
exotic automobile, (okay, maybe not appropriate) I became interested in
the descriptions of his new music box.

Yes, Larry, this is what I think the MMD is all about. A whole bunch
of diverse people sharing with others. I am constantly amazed that
things that I've never thought twice about can come alive in this
forum. I even think that you could go into much greater detail without
losing our attention.

Please keep us up to date on your project. I have probably never seen
a Paillard music box, but when I do, I'll bet I'm grinning from ear to
ear.

[ Mechanical Music Digest serves the interests of its subscribers,
[ and we surely have wide-ranging interests, so topics in MMD aren't
[ necessarily limited to just mechanical music. Incidentally,
[ I finally _did_ see and hear a fine Paillard, and it was great --
 [ ear-to-ear !! ;) -- Robbie
