Reuge Music Box

About 10 years ago, my husband and I were stationed in Italy. He
bought me a gift. It is a large pink musical (box?). You wind it at
the bottom and push a button. It opens several little compartments to
reveal a gazebo type effect with a metal center piece in the shape of
the Reuge emblem pictured on your front page. The compartments that
open are shaped to hold a lipstick sized object.

We have often wondered exactly what this is for. I adore it and I show
it off often.

On the bottom, there is a black and red sticker that says Reuge. The
winder at the bottom says Reuge Music, with the emblem in between the
two words.

The item, when closed, is pink porcelain or glass with gold accents.
The top is bell shaped with renaissance pictures painted on. At the
very top sits an gold cherub playing what I think is a lute. Please,
any information would be much appreciated. Thank you.
