Hi Jan,  Thanks for the vote of approval.  Terry Smythe brought up an
interesting point.  Instead of asking for approval from the authors and
editors, tell them you are going to use it unless they say NO!  Terry
calls it the 'negative response' technique as opposed to the 'positive
response' method, currently in force.
