Seek Addresses of Museums in Germany
By Philip Jamison

One of my restoration projects involves a small Hicks barrel piano with
its moving figures gone. The center of the "stage" where they perform
has a 4-1/4" (11 cm) hole. I wondered what might have gone there
until I saw photographs of some Ignatz Bruder barrel organs in the
book, "Drehorgeln, Schaurig-Schon," which was published in conjunction
with an exhibition at The Museum of Mechanical Instruments in Bruchsal,
Germany. Two organs in the book have a rotating circle of figures.

Now I'd like to see how they work, so I wonder if anyone can help me
find the addresses of the museums (I tried the www without success).
They are "Stadtmuseum Gera" and "Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe".
Any help would be appreciated!
