Source of Harmonica Reeds
By Robert Linnstaedt

An excellent source for new reeds is the harmonica reed plates which
may be purchased from most Hohner dealers. Same product is available
from another source whose name I cannot recall. Oscar?

The price is about $18 for two plates (the blow & the draw), so you
wind up with a VERY affordable set of high quality reeds already tuned
to a diatonic scale. The reeds are brass and look quite nice. These
plates also make the system exceptionally compact.

My local music dealer sells the Hohner reed plates, available in 3 or 4
keys. But the other brand was available at a local "exotic imports"
shop in every key, including major, natural minor, and harmonic minor!

When I dig up that other brand name, I'll post.
