I recently acquired an interesting organette called "The Melodette!",
patented January 1873.  (The exclamation point is part of the name.)
It has a cast iron body and plays a 17-note metal xylophone.  It is
entirely mechanical.  Attached is an image.  Has anyone ever seen one
of these?
