Noise in Organ Sound

I would have to agree to that.  Over the past several years of making
recordings of MIDI music I have come to the conclusion that the noise
inherent in cassette recordings, especially using lesser grades of
tape, is actually beneficial in making a 'performance' sound believ-
able.  Maybe it has something to do with maintaining the ambiance.

Of course in my case I am striving to synthesize the sound of a
recording of a performance.  To actually set up and voice a digital
system to sound like a live performance would be a challenge indeed.
