Thanks to the miracles of the Internet and MMD, Spencer Chase in
California and myself, in the UK, have been jointly developing the
design for compact, high resolution roll scanners.  Spencer has almost
completed the first production run of two machines (one each).  The
problem now is to get mine safely across the pond.

I'll be in Florida in early February and I'm wondering if there is an
MMDer living within half a days drive of the Space Center who would be
prepared to offer a transit base.  Spencer would ship the scanner to you
and I'd collect it and carry it home.  The machine is the size of a
briefcase but is actually housed in a military style shipping case.
