Seek Parts for Original Lochmanns Disc Music Box
By Marcus Pregler

Hello and Good Morning to all MMD'ers, let me introduce myself:
My name is Marcus Pregler, I'm from South Germany and I get the MMD
emails every morning for about two months now. We have a small antique
furniture business, we export antique German pine furniture to France
and, mainly, to the UK.

I buy most of the stuff I'm dealing with at small, outdoor antique
fairs and car-boot sales, and I still can remember the day on which
I saw my first disc music box. I never ever had the wish to be the
owner of something, but when I saw my first disc box everything changed
within seconds! So, during the years, I was glad to buy several music
boxes, most of them very cheap at antique fairs in the former German
Democratic Republic.

Last weekend I bought an original Lochmanns upright disc box, 24-1/2
inch diameter, in an auction in East Germany. It was, and still is,
a complete ruin; I only have the motor, the bedplate with one comb
without broken teeth, the other comb with 28 missing teeth, no tubular
bells, and no case. And now I need help:

Is there anybody who has parts for this special music box for sale?
I need the bedplate for the bells, damper rails, and I would be very
lucky if somebody has the right hand comb for me. I do not need the
case; I bought one from a collector friend today, but I would love to
get the gallerie for it. So, if you can help me please send an email
to <Pregler-Beilngries@t-online.de>

Thanks for your time, I will send an email to the MMD about how the
things are going on when I restore my ruin.
