Baby Ampico
By Bruce Clark

I cannot believe that anyone would go to the trouble of modifying a
Baby Ampico for easier tuning! The "C" clamps that I use to hold the
roll frame tray, allows enough room to tune without any difficulty.
In fact, I tune our piano about every month and can do it easily.

The only hose that requires disconnection is the air motor supply hose,
and that is easily reached from under the tray. The other hoses have
enough slack so that none require removal. The cable for the tempo
also has plenty of slack, and also does not require removal.

The biggest problem is removing the entire top player action if the
piano action requires adjustment. This requires the removal of about
100 hoses, and the cable connection for the tempo, before the pneumatic
stack can be removed! With all hoses labeled, it is more time
consuming than difficult.
